Carowinds Charlotte Hours

With an area of 122 acres, Carowinds theme park straddles the North Carolina and South Carolina state line and is located just south of Charlotte. This Carolinas largest amusement park is the thrill capital of the Southeast. It's one of the most popular family entertainment attractions in the Carolinas. More than 100 state-of-the-art rides and shows are offered for all ages.

Carowinds also introduces Million Dollar Light Show for tourists in 2011. These new nighttime spectacular shows use sound, light and motion to present a full sensory experience for visitors. To display Snoopy's Starlight Spectacular, expanded hours will be offered for guests to experience more fun at Carowinds.

Carowinds has different park hours in 2011 with an operating season from late March to late October. You need to arrange your visits to the amusement park according to the Carowinds hours in 2011.

April - Carowinds theme park opens from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays in April. The operation hours for Saturdays are from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The hour also applies to dates from Monday, April 18 to Friday, April 22. There's one exception. The park is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday, April 30. You can visit the amusement park from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Fridays including April 8, April 15, and April 29. The park is not open to the public on the rest days.

May - If you're planning to visit Carowinds in May, the park is open on Fridays and Weekends. Come to visit the thrill capital from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday. The theme park opens from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturdays, including Sunday, May 29. On Sundays, the hours are from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, May 30 has the same operation hour. Carowinds opens from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, May 31. The park is closed on the unlisted days.

June - With the advent of summer vacation, Carowinds theme park is becoming more and more vibrant. Its operation hour is from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, June 1 and Thursday June 2. The park is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturdays. The hour is also valid for the last four days in June that is through June 27. The park opens from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on all left days.

July - July is the golden season for Carowinds visitors. The theme park is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. throughout the month. Visitors can have enough time to enjoy the endless fun and pleasure Carowinds has to offer.

August - The first week from Monday, August 1 to Sunday, August 7 has the same operation hour as July, including three left Saturdays. Carowinds opens from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sundays, except August 7. The hour applies to the second week from August 8 to August 12 as well. You can visit the park from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. from August 15 to August 19. The park will be closed on rest days.

September - Carowinds is only open to the public on weekends in September. It opens from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sundays, except September 4. The last two business days with the longest operation hour are Saturday, September 3 and Sunday, September 4: from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. It operates from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, September 5 and Saturday, September 10. You can only tour the park from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on September 17 and September 24.

October - If you have missed Carowinds in 2011, weekends in October are your only opportunity to visit the theme park. The hours are from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on business days in October. October 2 is an exception. The park is open from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. on that day.

May - Boomerang Bay only opens four days in May: from May 28 to May 31. You can come to this paradise from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on first three days. The bay is only open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on May 31.

June - Boomerang Bay awaits you through June. The regular hours are from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Please notice its special hours in June. The happy paradise is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Jun 1 and Jun 2.

July - July is considered the best time to experience the sunshine and tsunami-sized thrills at Boomerang Bay. Come to experience the various fun attractions from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. in July any day you wish.

August - The first two weeks in August have the same operation hours as July, including Saturday, August 20 and Sunday, August 21. The bay will be open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on August 27 and August 28.

September - Boomerang Bay will be open on September 3, September 4 and September 5. The hours are from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The rest days will be closed for 2011 season.

SCarowinds' Halloween Hunt XI is a highlight at Carowinds in 2011. It combines roller coasters, haunter houses and Halloween festivals in one night. They are usually from 7 p.m. to midnight. It will begin on Sep. 16, 2011. The opening days include Sep. 17, Sep. 23, Sep. 24 and Sep. 30. In October, Scarowinds will be open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, including Thursday, Oct. 27. Oct. 22 and Oct. 29 have special hours: from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m.
