How to drive to Charlotte Convention Center? I-77, I-85 and US Highway 74 are in the vicinity of the convention center. You can get to the center easily via those interstates. Visitors from all directions need to enter the convention center via two entrances. One is located on E. Martin Luther King Jr, Blvd. The other one lies on College Street.
Visitors driving from I-85 North - You need to drive along Brookshire Freeway and take Exit 36. Turn right onto the I-277 loop and take Exit 1E for Stonewall Street. Switch left onto Stonewall Street and continue to drive for 3 blocks. After crossing Brevard Street, you will see the Charlotte Convention Center on your right.
Driving from I-85 South - Visitors driving north from South of Charlotte via I-85 need to take Little Rock Road and use Exit 32. When coming to the bottom of the ramp, you need to turn right. Continue to turn right at the first traffic light. When reaching the 2nd traffic light, you need to turn left onto Wilkinson Boulevard. Drive along Wilkinson Boulevard and merge onto the 1-277 loop. Then take Exit 1E and turn north onto College Street. The convention center will be on your right after crossing Stonewall Street.
Driving from I-77 North - When driving from North of Charlotte, you can take the I-277 loop when coming to the intersection with I-77. Take Exit 9 afterwawrds. Drive towards College Street and Exit 1E. Continue to drive across Stonewall Street. The Charlotte Convention Center will be on your right.
Driving from I-77 South - After coming to the intersection with I-277 loop, you need to take Exit 9B. Drive along College Street and take Exit 1E. After crossing the Stonewall Street, you can see the convention center on your right.
Driving from US Highway 74 West - You should follow Wilkinson Boulevard until it merges with the I-277 loop. Drive along I-277 towards College Street and take Exit 1E. You will see the convention center on your right after crossing the Stonewall Street.
Driving from US Highway 74 East - You can drive along Independence Boulevard and turn left onto the I-277 loop at the intersection. Drive towards Stonewall Street and take Exit 1E. Then you need to turn left onto Stonewall Street and continue to drive for another 3 blocks. Just cross the Brevard Street. The Charlotte Convention Center will be on your right.
Driving from Airport - Visitors driving from the Airport can drive to I-77 North according to the airport exit signs. Keep on driving on I-77 North until you come to the I-277 loop. Then you can follow the directions for US Highway 74 East.
Where is the parking entrance? Many parking options are offered for Convention Center visitors. The official partner for the convention center is the NASCAR Hall of the Fame parking garage. It's conveniently located on Brevard Street. After coming to the Charlotte Convention Center, you will see the entrance to the parking garage on your right that is just past the over-street crosswalk.
