The rates are $1.50 and up depend on the route you will be riding on. There are more expensive routes, the express routes, but for those in a hurry it's worth the extra cost.

LYNX Blue Line is a rapid transit system that runs from I-77 to South Boulevard. It operates everyday from 5 in the morning up to 1 in the morning with 15 stations in Charlotte. It's $1.50 for one-way and 50% discounts for children up to Grade 12.
Charlotte Trolley is a fun way to travel in Charlotte. The vintage trolleys are fun to ride and it's historical. It only runs during weekends and the fare is $1.50 one way or ride all you can for 1 day at just $4.50

Charlotte Area Transit System or CATS has 40 bus lines routes and is the most popular and highly used mode of transportation in Charlotte. $1.50 for one way but express routes is worth $2.00.
