It is situated at South Tryon Street (Center City) in Charlotte. It was opened in the year 1926 and was considered to be the tallest building at that time.

The height of 112 Tryon Plaza is 85.3 meters and there are 22 floors in this building. The total area is 151815 sq feet. It has been constructed using neo-classic architectural style. The facade of the building has sculptures of owls and bee hives. It was during the year 2007 that it was named as Tryon Plaza.
