Charlotte City has several historical landmarks, monuments, impressive monuments which are serving as tourist attractions. The most important historical landmarks are: Latta Plantation, Hezekiah Alexander Home site, James K Polk Memorial and Rosedale Plantation.
Latta Plantation is registered in National register of Historic place which has been renovated completely which offers insight to plantation life that existed during 19th century ranging from slaves, yeoman farmers to planters. The antebellum plantation is open for public between 10 AM to 4.30 PM from Tuesday to Saturday and on Sundays from 1 PM to 4.30PM.
Hezekiah Alexander Home Site is currently a part of Charlotte Museum of History and one of the oldest dwellings in USA.
