Grady Cole civic center is a small and also one of the oldest civic centers in Charlotte. It was built long back in the year 1954. It is located near the central Piedmont community college. The Grady Cole Civic Center has got a capacity of over 3000 seats and it can host events such as theatre events, small concerts, musical nights, operas, shows and parties.

As it is very close to the city center it is the hot choice for most event conductors operating in the city of Charlotte, NC. The center is known for having hosted the CIAA women's volleyball tournament in 2007.
