What is North Carolina Press Photographers Association (NCPPA)
North Carolina Press Photographers Association (NCPPA) is an association that includes the photojournalists of different newspapers, television stations, wire services etc. employed in North Carolina.
Any employed photojournalist in North Carolina is free to join NCPPA. Even free lance photographers or the self employed ones in North Carolina can become part of this prestigious association.
NCPPA also takes in student members through their student membership programs. Students who are over 16 years of age and are involved in photographic courses at schools, or a college or a university can apply to become members of NCPPA.
They also hold Photographer Of the Year (POY) contest each year in which hundreds of photographers in North Carolina battle it out to earn the prestigious title.
