Form the uptown charlotte, the airport is located at a distance of 5 miles on the south and north borders of Carolina. The easiest direction is to take I-277 to I177 and go towards the south from uptown charlotte. The Billy graham parkway can be reached from the 6B exit from where the airport exists after travelling for about 5 miles. Direct way is to take I-77 to Billy graham parkway by 6B exit and travel for about 5 miles to reach the airport.
