cThe Charlotte Douglas International Airport is a public international airport that had been established in 1935 but it was in 1954 when it had been renamed from Charlotte Municipal Airport to Douglas Municipal Airport from their former mayor named Ben Elbert Douglas, Sr. In 1982, it changed its name to Douglas international Airport and it serves over a hundred international and domestic destinations and is now the largest hub for the U.S. Airways.
The Charlotte Airport offers transportation services for travelers so they can travel to and from the airport to the city of Charlotte with no problem. Their Ground Transportation Services include the Sprinter Enhanced Bus service, car rentals, and taxi and hotel shuttles. The CATS Bus Service picks up their passengers just in front of the baggage claim area in Zone D and it can take you to farther places at cheaper fare rates.
