Mint Museum of Craft + Design

When you travel to Charlotte, it's best to drop by the Mint Museum of Craft and Design. They also have the Mint Museum of Art but in a different location. In this museum, you'd enjoy their collection of crafts made of glass, wood, fiber, metal or clay that are turned either into furniture or jewelry. The Museum of Craft and Design had opened its doors to the people of Charlotte as well as other tourists since 1999.

The Mint Museum of Craft and Design has a great collection of craftworks with permanent exhibits as well as non-permanent. They want to promote crafts as a form of art too as well as designs and they integrate both crafts and designs in the society of artworks.

They house some of the very interesting forms of craftworks with excellent craftsmanship that would just leave you in awe. The Soundsuit for instance by Nick Cave looks very interesting and at the same time it looks strange and artistic.

There are lots to learn from the Museum of Craft and Design whenever you travel to Charlotte with your kids. It's best to expose your kids to crafts and designs and other art museums early so they can let their imaginations flow. Who knows? Your kids may end up as one of the artists with contributions to this museum.

The Mint Museum of Art is on a different location but they share the same goals together and when you purchase an admission to Craft and Design, you can drop by Mint Museum of Art as well at no extra cost. Surely this is one great way they can do to make their visitors drop by their other location.
