It's called Northlake because it's situated about 8 miles north of Charlotte and on the Lake Norman region thus it's named as NorthLake. It's a pretty new shopping mall that had just opened its doors in 2005 and became the dominant shopping mall in its area.
This shopping mall is not as expensive as the South Park Mall that's why many would come as far as the south just to shop here because of its good price and great selection of stores and amenities for kids and adults alike. It's a fun place to be if you just want to relax, watch a movie, play games or go shopping!
